NAPLES, Fla. -- Collier County deputies are searching for an armed robber after an incident at a Lely-area convenience store.

It happened at 9:35 p.m. Monday night at the K-Square Food mart on Tamiami Trail and Southwest Boulevard.  That’s between St. Andrews and Collier boulevards.

According to the Collier County Sheriff's Office, the robber burst into the store with a handgun, pushing customers aside before demanding money from the clerk. The clerk complied and the robber took off with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a white male, around 6 feet tall and 175 pounds. He wore a black jacket, black mask and white hat.

The robbery comes just two days after a similar crime at the Rose Supermarket on Radio Road Saturday night. Deputies are still searching for both suspects.

A spokesperson with the Collier County Sheriff's Office advises that anyone who finds themselves in the middle of an armed robbery should try to remain calm, and remember as many details as possible, including the suspect's description, any weapon and their direction of travel.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Collier County Sheriff’s Office at (239) 252-9300, or to remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).
