Four in Your Corner obtained documents which shed new light on the sex incident inside a bathroom at South Fort Myers High School.

Last year, multiple football players had sex with a 15-year-old girl inside the school's restroom. For the first time, we're hearing how the girl involved describes what happened in her written statement to school administrators.

Last year, the Lee County Sheriff's Office's report on the incident said the girl admitted to having sex with multiple male students in the bathroom, but her statement raises questions about if the sex was consensual.

In the statement, the girl told administrators a student wanted to speak with her in the bathroom. She said she told him "if anyone found out they'd get the wrong idea."

She said while in the bathroom, a boy and his friend whose name she didn't know "proceeded to tell me to 'get him right.'"

She wrote "I told him no... but he continued to ask me and at some point I gave in." She then detailed a sex act.

Her statement said more boys started coming in and out of the bathroom, peeking over the stalls and watching. She said one boy "did not give up even when I said I didn't know him." He kept telling her "you're gonna know me after this." She said she then stopped arguing and gave in again.

This same story played out over and over with other boys.

Four in Your Corner asked an Peter Dennis, a criminal defense attorney, for his take on her statement.

"Based on this statement alone, she has not indicated that this is consensual at all. This statement is written in a way that reads very nonconsensual," Dennis said.

Last year, the Lee County Sheriff's Office said they completed their investigation, and none of the boys who engaged in the sexual activity would be charged.

Four in Your Corner reached out to the sheriff's office again after obtaining the statement to see why this isn't being investigated as a sexual assault. A spokesperson said: "A portion of this incident is still active, therefore we cannot comment at this time."

"There may have been other things involved in this investigation. There may have been other interviews," Dennis said.

The girl was a victim of human trafficking in the past and said in her statement she was "triggered and began to disassociate."

"The psychological effect this will have on this minor child will be something she'll deal with for the rest of her life."
