One arrested after shots fired in Dunbar Wednesday night

UPDATE (9:30AM)  -- Police have arrested 25-year-old Sh'Quil Codie and charged him with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon after a shooting incident Wednesday night in the Dunbar area.

According to Fort Myers Police, officers responded to the 3400 block of South Street in Fort Myers around 6 p.m. to investigate a shots fired call.

Further investigation determined that Codie and a female victim were engaged in a verbal argument when Codie took out a firearm and fired several shots.

He was arrested and booked into the Lee County Jail.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

The Fort Myers Police Department is investigating a call of shots fired near South Street and Midway Avenue.

Police say no one was hit in the incident Wednesday night and they're questioning witnesses and possible suspects.

They say the involved parties know each other.

The investigation is still active and possible charges are pending.

Police are not searching for any suspects at this time.
