FORT MYERS, Fla. -- A 9-year-old Florida boy is on a mission: He wants to thank every law enforcement officer in the country...using doughnuts!

On Tuesday, Tyler Carach from Bratt, Florida north of Pensacola thanked hundreds of local deputies and police officers with doughnuts and coffee!

Tyler says his goal is to inspire others in communities across the country to do the same.

Local officers say his generosity isn't going unnoticed. "Doughnuts, we call them energy rings, but doughnuts and cops go way back. I thought it was great to take this young man, and look how inspired he is; he's laughing, he's giggling, it's just great. It's a great day to be a cop," says Lt. Jay Rodriguez of Fort Myers Police.

Tyler and his family plan to stop in Orlando and Jacksonville on Wednesday before heading to police departments in Alabama and Georgia.

It's part of a 6-week campaign called “I donut need a reason to thank a cop."
