Tropical Depression Two has formed over the central tropical Atlantic Ocean, according to the National Hurricane Center.

The center began issuing advisories Thursday at 11 a.m.

The depression is located between the Cabo Verde Islands and the Lesser Antilles.

Forecasters expect it to move westward or west-northwestward at 15 to 20 mph over the tropical Atlantic Ocean.

But, they expect it to degenerate into a trough of low pressure before it reaches the Lesser Antilles.
