State of Emergency declared in Collier County due to threat of Hurricane Irma

NAPLES, Fla. -- The Collier County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution Wednesday declaring a State of Emergency in Collier County due to Hurricane Irma.

The Collier Information Hotline is now open. Please call (239) 252-8444 (or 311 in Collier County only) to receive updated hurricane-related information.

Currently, there are no evacuation orders and the Bureau of Emergency Services has not opened any storm shelters or special needs shelters at this time. However, Collier County has nine regular evacuation shelters and one special needs shelter readying operations.

The public should continually monitor radio, television and newspapers for updated information.
