Residents off of Southeast 16th Terrace in Cape Coral are now on day 10 without power and they say they don't know when they'll get their power back.
A broken transformer with loose wires across these Cape Coral yards is cause for concern for these neighbors and they want someone to come and fix it.
"After 10 days? I think we can do a little bit better than that," said Jules Bringuier.
Another neighbor, Ray Graulich, says if LCEC is too overwhelmed, he wants Florida Power and Light (FPL) to come take care of it.
"It's sad," said Graulich.
Spokesperson Karen Ryan with LCEC says they're aware of this down transformer, but the project will take hours to fix. She says they're trying to get the maximum number of customers up first, before tackling a project that only concerns a few residents.
"It's frustrating, but this is the way the process works to restore safely," Ryan said.
She also says the down transformer is not a safety issue. She says a crew has been out to the property to make sure it's de-energized.
Ryan says most customers should have power restored by next week. If you haven't reported your power outtage, she says LCEC knows, but it's smart to call 239-656-2300.
