Charlotte County Sheriff enacts curfew beginning Saturday night

Charlotte County Sheriff Bill Prummell has enacted a curfew from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. for all of Charlotte County.

The curfew is in place starting Saturday night, and will be in place "until further notice," according to a press release from the Charlotte County Emergency Operations Center.

The curfew applies to all citizens, with exceptions of emergency personell and those commuting to and from work for essential functions. The curfew order also restricts the sale of alcoholic beverage in Charlotte County.
