COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- Drivers using Alligator Alley to escape Hurricane Dorian are getting a break by the state of Florida.
Tolls have been suspended in both directions of Alligator Alley, the stretch of Interstate 75 that crosses the Everglades from Collier to Broward counties.
This includes the toll plazas at each end of the highway, at mile markers #25 and #100.
Florida Highway Patrol says they are monitoring the area and will assist with traffic congestion.
