UPDATE 6/3/19 8 AM:
NHC maintains the chances for development at 60% in 2-5 days. The system is expected to get pulled northward along the coast of Mexico and Texas before moving into Louisiana and Arkansas late in the period with the threat of heavy rainfall. There is still time for this system to organize into a tropical cyclone, but it will depend on its interaction with land.
UPDATE 6/2/19 9 AM:
NHC maintains the chances for development at 60% in 2-5 days. Latest computer model forecast model tracks take it northwest to the Mexican coast with moisture spreading into South Texas by mid-week. This tropical moisture will spread the threat for heavy rainfall into east Texas, parts of Louisiana, Oklahoma and Arkansas by the end of next week with the potential for more flooding in areas that have already seen significant rain over the past 2 weeks.
UPDATE 6/1/19 7 PM:
NHC has bumped up the chances for development up to 60% within 2-5 days for Invest 91L which is tracking westward toward the Mexican coast. The system is expected to be a big rainmaker for Texas. Again, there is ZERO threat to Florida, but we will continue to monitor the storm carefully.

UPDATE 6/1/19:
The chances of seeing tropical development area increasing in the Bay of Campeche for a broad area of low pressure that is moving westward. Chances have increased to medium for possible development into next week as it moves west toward the Mexican Coast. The next name on the list is Barry. There are indications that moisture from this system will get pulled northward into next week around an area of high pressure into the state of Texas and other adjacent states leading to the potential for locally heavy rainfall in areas that don't need any more rain. There is still time to watch this system develop, but we'll keep you updated on the latest. Hurricane season has officially arrived!

The start of hurricane season in the Atlantic is on Saturday and the National Hurricane Center is keeping a close eye on a disturbance in the Caribbean. The Hurricane Center issued a Special Tropical Weather Outlook on Friday afternoon at 2pm to discuss the system and where it may eventually go. Right now the area of showers and storms they are watching is just off the coast of Belize and will drift westward across the Yucatan into the southern Bay of Campeche next week. There are no indications this system will develop into anything significant, or have any affect on South Florida. However, if the system can stay over warm water for a period, further development will be possible and areas of northern Mexico and South Texas need to monitor the system as it heads in their direction. Right now the chances for development are 20% in 2 days and 30% in 5 days, both in the LOW category.
We'll keep you updated on its progress as it develops.
