Low humidity and breezy winds will contribute to extreme fire danger in Lee and Charlotte Counties Thursday.
The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning from noon until 8 p.m. Thursday night in both counties with "very high" or "extreme" fire danger for all of Southwest Florida, according to the Florida Forest Service.
A Red Flag Warning means that if a fire starts, it will have the ability to spread quickly due to the dry and breezy conditions.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.
