LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Fire crews responded to a mulch fire Monday morning and were quickly able to get it under control.
The fire broke out off Tice Road near Staley Road just before 8:30 a.m.
The Florida Forest Service's Caloosahatchee Fire Center responded and began saturating the fire with water. They report the fire was contained about 2 hours later.
Officials say smoke from the fire could affect drivers on Interstate 75 in the area of Mile Marker 140, between the Luckett Road and State Road 80 exits.
