COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- All lanes of Interstate 75 are back open again and evacuation orders have been lifted from a brush fire in Collier County on Monday evening.
The fire was so bad at once point firefighters had to abandon a fire truck caught in the middle of the flames and it was destroyed.
The fire started on the west side of I-75 at the Walmart on Jonquil Road. Embers then flew over the interstate, and caught a strip of woods on fire near the Malibu Lakes Apartment Complex.
Right now that fire is contained.
