Mattress Firm Foster Kids was created in response to requests for support from local nonprofit foster care organizations. They cited a need for items like shoes, clothing, pajamas and school supplies. These are items that most of us don’t think twice about but, to foster families, these essential items help the transition for foster kids in their care.
To honor kids who are going the extra mile to help foster kids in their communities, Mattress Firm is hosting a “Kid Heroes” photo contest via Instagram, Twitter and the Mattress Firm website. At the end of the contest, the child with the most votes will win a $500 Toys “R” Us gift card, and Mattress Firm will make a $5,000 donation to the local Mattress Firm Foster Kids nonprofit partner of the winner’s choice.
