A Nature Conservancy poll from 2011 revealed that the majority of kids surveyed (ages 13–18) felt that previous generations have damaged the environment and left it to their generation to fix.
Now, more than ever, our youth are becoming increasingly more aware of their environment. With back-to-school season right around the corner, how do we – parents and educators – keep them involved with making our planet a greener place to live?

Charles Best leads, a nonprofit organization which provides a simple way to address educational inequity. At, public school teachers create classroom project requests and donors can pick the projects they want to support.
