After practicing law for 10 years, Melissa Garcia left it all behind to follow her dreams in fashion and hasn’t looked back since. Melissa has quickly become one of the most highly sought after fashion experts in the industry. She regularly appears as a fashion/lifestyle contributor on national shows such as The TODAY Show, Wendy Williams, E! News and EXTRA!. She offers her fashion expertise for national publications such as The Daily News, Life & Style and Closer Magazine; is a TODAY.com Style Contributor, has contributed to a weekly fashion column for E! Online and has been featured as an expert. Melissa has also appeared as a Business of Fashion field correspondent for international television program Fashion One News. Her relatability, expertise and unique personal style have made Melissa one of the top fashion experts in the country.
Melissa has styled national campaigns for brands such as Garnier, Eva Longoria Collection and Wendy Williams HSN Collection and has enjoyed collaborating with brands such as JCPenny and H&M for on-air fashion segments. She also enjoys styling celebrities both on and off camera. Melissa has styled for red carpet events and has worked with television producers to help create looks for characters and assisted talent agencies to help shape their clients “branded image”.
She has experience hosting fashion shows/events – most recently hosting as an emcee for Westfield and Simon malls as well as Bloomingdales.
Charity work is also something Melissa strongly embraces. She styled a charity shoot benefiting the Women’s Prison Organization, has offered her services for both women’s and children’s cancer organizations, has been a volunteer for Dress for Success and has given her time to host benefit events for hospitals and museums.
Melissa lives in New York and is married to her high school sweetheart with whom she has three delicious kids.
