Dr. Eschner is a 1990 graduate of the New York State College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University. He practiced for 5 years in two, multi-doctor small animal hospitals in Albany, NY and outside of Philadelphia, PA. He joined the animal health industry as a technical services veterinarian for Rhone Merieux in 1995. After 19 years of Technical Services veterinary work for MERIAL both in Athens, GA (’95-’98) and then New England area (’98-’14), Dr. Eschner became the Northeast Regional Director of Field Veterinary Services (’14 – present). Among other topics, he thoroughly enjoys the discussion of vaccines and their technologies, fleas, ticks and tick-borne diseases of companion animals and most notably canine Lyme borreliosis. He has authored or co-authored various papers, articles, bulletins and posters on the subject relating to canine Lyme borreliosis. He has a son who is a junior in college, a daughter who is a senior in high school and a lanky Terrier mix rescue dog named “Lucy”. Andy and his wife will celebrate 30 years of marriage this August.
