CAPE CORAL, Fla. — Firehouse Subs is celebrating a hearty, flavorful staple in their kitchen on National Meatball Day.
The restaurant is inviting people to enjoy their meatball sub, while giving back to a worthy cause.
Since 2005, Firehouse Subs makes year-round efforts toward their Public Safety Foundation. A portion of every sale support's their mission to provide life-saving equipment, funding and education to first responders and public safety organizations across the U.S.
Through their foundation, they say more than $7.7 million worth of lifesaving equipment has been awarded to local heroes in the state of Florida.
They're encouraging people to join this mission by picking up one of their Italian meatball subs on Mar. 9.
Monday morning, Fox 4 is visiting the Cape Coral Firehouse Subs to show how they create their fan-favorite meatball sub.
