CAPE CORAL, Fla. — The ClamJam Festival of Southwest Florida continued on despite heavy rains on Jan. 26, 2019.
The owner of Old Fish House Marina located on 4530 Pine Island Rd. in Matlacha was left with about four thousand clams to take back to her restaurant and try to sell. She says a similar thing happened at a previous year's event and the community rallied around her and purchased her remaining clams.
John Morris, owner of Lisa Renee's Shrimp Po Boys decided to stick it out through the poor weather conditions saying, "I made a commitment to be here and I just believe in fulfilling my commitments".
