LEE COUNTY, Fla. — Lee County libraries will open select locations following Memorial Day.

The Cape Coral Lee County Library, East County Regional Library, Fort Myers Regional Library, Northwest Regional Library, and South County Regional Library will open at 25% capacity 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.

County Commissioners announced the decision as part of the county's phased-in approach for residents.

Signs adhering to CDC safety guidelines will be posted, and floors will be marked to indicate spacing for social distancing.

The libraries will have plexiglass shields installed at all public service desks, hand sanitizers and wipes will be provided to visitors.

The county also removed some furniture to encourage people to keep visits brief so that others can enjoy the library.

County libraries will limit computer use to one hour per person per day, study rooms and meeting rooms are not open at this time.
