NAPLES, Fla — This is something that can change your life right before the holidays.

Mark your calendar for Thursday, December 10. That’s when Better Together will team up with companies from all over the country to have a national virtual job fair.

What makes this job fair unique, is that there will be both local and national companies taking part. Corporations like Wawa, Advance Auto Parts, Shearer's Foods, and Koch Industries will have hundreds of jobs to fill.

And because Thursday is the Nationwide Day of Second Chances, the job fair organizers have reached out specifically to people who have been incarcerated, military veterans, and single mothers. Really, they want to help anyone who needs a second chance, and they know the pandemic has created that need.

Here’s what you need to do. Go to the Better Together website. There you can sign up for the job fair, get one-on-one job coaching, and watch workshops that cover interview tips and professional skills.

It’s all free.

On Thursday, each employer will have an hour-long Zoom session. They will lay out the jobs they are looking to hire and tell you about their company. You will have a chance to ask questions and get one-on-one face time with a hiring manager.

This is the third virtual job fair Better Together has organized in 2020. In August, Fox 4 worked with the organization to connect hundreds of people to jobs during the SWFL Virtual Job Fair.
