IMMOKALEE, Fla — Many people are working to help support families directly impacted by the pandemic - including some of our younger Southwest Floridians.

Students from the Guadalupe Center were already dedicated to their community - working as tutors at the Guadalupe House during the summer.

Unfortunately, the pandemic canceled those plans.

But, these students won't be stopped.

They're now working to serve in another way - joining forces with the Benison Center to distribute food to families in need.

In this story by Photographer Curt Tremper, hear why students say getting involved in helping the community matters.
