FORT MYERS, Fla. — A small group of protesters stood along Colonial Boulevard Wednesday, holding signs and waving flags.

They believe masks at school need to be a parental choice and not the schools.

The group is calling for parents to decide when it comes to masks on Lee County School campuses this school year.

The School District is currently making them mandatory for everyone.

One parent Fox 4 spoke to says she consulted with two doctors and then made an educated decision. She believes the decision should be left up to the families themselves.

The protesters say they will not stop protesting and would like a meeting with the school district to discuss other options.
