Barber shops, nail and hair salons in Florida will be allowed to reopen on Monday, according to a tweet from Gov. Ron DeSantis.

The reopening of the businesses will be done "with enhanced safety protocols for all counties currently in Phase 1."

This applies to portions of Florida that have already began Phase 1 of Florida's reopening plan. 64 of Florida's 67 counties are currently operating in Phase 1.

The announcement was posted to Twitter on Friday. The tweet breaking the news featured a short video of J. Henry, the owner of J. Henry’s Barber Shop in downtown Orlando.

"Getting back to work, we want to be safe and continue to wear our gloves wear masks, book by appointments and continue to keep the community safe," said J. Henry in the video. "We want to keep one thing in mind: Safety is always first.”

No other details have been released about hair and nail salon reopenings.

Restaurants and retail stores in the state can operate at 25 percent capacity under Phase 1 of Florida's reopening plan.

"Safety is always first," said Henry. "Let's look forward to opening on Monday."

Friday, Gov. DeSantis also extended the state of emergency for Florida through the next 60 days .
