NAPLES, Fla. — Coastland Mall in Naples worked with local photographers to produce professional headshots for unemployed community members.
Jose Campos is relying on his smile and a headshot to get him back in the game after losing his sales job in march due to the covid 19 pandemic.
He joins the now millions of Americans looking to get back to work as more and more businesses are re-opening their doors.
"Hopefully, new business owners could look at me and say hey look, this guy seems good he seems confident and give me an opportunity" said, Jose.
Coastland Mall partnered with Headshot Booker and local photographers to create the largest, single-day photo initiative that provided 10,000 unemployed Americans nationwide with a complimentary, professional headshot to include with their resumes and post job sites such as LinkedIn.
According to Linkedin, job applicants who use professional headshots have their profiles viewed 21 times more often than those who do not.
"We are proud and excited to host the 10,000 Headshots initiative across our portfolio," said Brookfield Properties Chief Marketing Officer Michelle Snyder.
"As we continue to welcome guests back to our centers, we are grateful for this opportunity to help the members of our communities that have been negatively impacted by the pandemic," Snyder emphasized that safety for all participants is a core focus, and each photographer will follow specific protocols to ensure safe distancing and hygiene practices throughout the day.
