CAPE CORAL, Fla. — A Cape Coral business makes it all about “YOU” during the pandemic
The folks who run Café You ( http://cafeyou.com/) have long prided themselves on their support of the community.
And they’ve stepped up that commitment during the pandemic.
Back in March, the café temporarily closed its in-dining services because of the pandemic.
But the owners immediately made plans to take of their customers in another way.
Even though the café’s regular hours were more geared toward breakfast and lunch, they began offering a special dinner pick up service.
As long as customers called in their orders by 6pm, they could pick up the café’s famously fresh and creative dishes as late as 6:30pm.
But Café You didn’t stop there.
The staff began using the tiny car with the café’s logo (that usually serves a “billboard” out in front of the café on SE 10th Street) to deliver food for free to first responders, other essential workers and even a sweet local family who had set up a food pantry in their front yard for those in need.
On May 4th, the café re-opened its dine-in service.
Coffee and the café’s made-from-scratch baked goods are available all day from 7:45am-6pm.
Kitchen hours with their all day menu and table service are available 7:45am-3pm.
And the café offers its dinner menu for take-out (employees will bring the food to your café if you wish) from 4-6pm.
