A woman in her 70's was found dead in a canal Sunday morning.
Police responded to a call regarding a drowning in the 3300 block of Sandpiper Drive in Punta Gorda around 11 a.m.
Authorities are still conducting an investigation.
Police say there is no sign of foul play.
