ENGLEWOOD, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say a southwest Florida woman was drunk when she rear-ended a deputy's patrol car at a red light.

The Bradenton Herald (https://goo.gl/EximA0 ) reports that 61-year-old Barbara Boyle was arrested Thursday night and charged with driving under the influence.

A Sarasota County Sheriff's Office news release says the patrol deputy was stopped at the red light when Boyle crashed into him. A DUI unit responded to the scene, and Boyle's blood-alcohol content was recorded at 0.191 percent. Florida law considers a driver impaired at 0.08 percent.

The deputy involved was taken to a local hospital, but no serious injuries were reported.

Jail records didn't list an attorney for Boyle.
