Winter storm Stella is expected to cause thousands of flight delays around the country as it roars across the Northeast.
Travelers at Southwest Florida International Airport are being affected by the delays.
Reinhardt Kom was anxiously awaiting his flight to Milwaukee from Ft. Myers Monday night. It was already delayed by 45 minutes.
"The lake effect snow they say is coming, or is there," he said of the small window of time he has to get into Milwaukee.
Others like Giselle Harvey were waiting on family to arrive in Southwest Florida for vacation. Giselle made it out of New York, her mom wasn't so lucky.
"She's supposed to leave Tuesday, but I don't think she's going to get out, she's worried she may not be here for the family vacation."
More delays are expected at RSW on Tuesday.
