LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- A Southwest Florida animal rescue wants you to help choose a name for their newest Animal Ambassador.
The Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife says this burrowing owl was found injured in Cape Coral in June with a broken wing. Unfortunately the wing did not heal properly, leaving the bird unable to fly.
Since the owl could not hunt for itself in the wild, the decision was made to not release it and utilize it in their educational program.
Now, they're asking you to help vote on their Facebook page for its name. The options are:
- Ollie
- Hoolio
- Hubert
- Houdini
- Howler
Voting ends October 28.
