FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Is there anything wrong with Fort Myers' image? That's a question many of you are responding to after a Fox 4 report that the city is spending $100,000 on a survey to consider rebranding.
Thursday, the city released a statement saying the goals of the project include improving perceptions of the city, to attract new residents and talent, and drawing customers to local businesses. And the city says the $100,000 cost is for the rebranding project as a whole, not just the survey. They also clarify the city slogan -- "City of Palms" -- is not going to change.
