With Algal blooms spreading in South Florida waters State agencies have stepped up their monitoring efforts.
Florida’s Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) as well as the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) routinely sample algal blooms when they are observed.
The state’s algal blooms response team encourages residents to report algal blooms.
