TALLAHASSEE, Fla.-- On Thursday, Governor Rick Scott wrote a letter to commissioners of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission regarding the impacts red tide is having on Florida's Gulf Coast.

In his letter, The Governor thanked the FWC for their continued work to research and mitigate the impacts of red tide.

Governor Scott also urged FWC to create the Florida Center for Red Tide Research, a new resource for local communities impacted by red tide.
