NAPLES, Fla. -- A man visiting Naples for Labor Day weekend has drowned in the Gulf near Naples Pier.
Emergency crews responding to the call after 5 p.m. Saturday and found the body of 62-year old John Dexheimer 100 feet north of the pier.
Crews worked to revive him before he was transported to Naples Community Hospital, where he later died.
Dexheimer was visiting the area from Farmington, Connecticut.
