FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Investigators in Lee County may have experience a case of deja vu this week after the same truck was stolen twice and found in the same place.
On Sunday, deputies contacted the owner of a Ford F-350 truck abandoned at the corner of Briarcliff Road and Triple Crown Court. The owner says the truck had been parked in a secure lot about 4 miles away off Alico Road.
The truck was returned to the owner and parked in the same lot. The next day the owner reported the truck stolen again and deputies found it abandoned in the same spot as the day before.
Investigators believe the male and female seen here were involved with the thefts.
The couple may also be responsible for an attempted truck theft on Friday from a lot a block away from where the other truck was parked.
Anyone with information on the identities and whereabouts of the two suspects is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
