CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. -- Investigators have arrested a 16-year-old girl after she was found in possession of over a quarter pound of marijuana during a traffic stop.
According to the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office, the teen was stopped Thursday for speeding, and the Corporal detected a strong odor of marijuana from inside the vehicle.
Further investigation led to the discovery of a backpack containing six baggies of suspected marijuana, several "blunts", a scale and a green metal grinder. The total weight of suspected marijuana seized was 138.4 grams, over 4 ounces.
The teenager was charged with felony Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and traffic offenses.
