COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- Troopers have made an arrest in a deadly November crash that left one man dead and several injured when a truck drove into a Golden Gate canal.
18-year-old Jaden Sanchez was booked Friday into the Collier County jail on the following charges: DUI Manslaughter (Felony), DUI Serious Injury (Felony), DUI Property Damage (misdemeanor), DUI Injury (Misdemeanor), DUI (Misdemeanor), and Careless driving (Infraction).
According to Florida Highway Patrol, Sanchez was the driver of a truck that drove through a metal barrier at the end of a dead end street and into a canal on November 25th, 2015.
25-year-old Jerimiah Hernandez died in the crash. Sanchez and four other 18-year-olds were also injured. Two of them had been riding in the bed of the pickup truck.
