LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- North Fort Myers High school has been taken off lockdown after the school was locked down as a precaution.
According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, a suspicious person was reported near the school Monday morning, and school officials ordered a lock down to be cautious.
The area surrounding the school was cleared by deputies after the person was located and found not to be armed.
The suspicious person was not a student.
The school day has returned to normal.
