A line of strong showers and a few thunderstorms will affect Charlotte, Lee, and south central Sarasota counties, according to the National Weather Service.
At 611 a.m., radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near North Port to 66 miles west of Pineland. Movement was southeast at 45 mph.
Wind gusts up to 50 mph are possible with these storms.
