MIAMI, Fla. -- Crews from Coast Guard Air Station Miami have begun assisting in the search for a missing cruise ship passenger near the Bahamas.
According to the U.S. Coast Guard, a 32-year-old-woman reportedly fell off the Carnival Ecstasy cruise ship around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The search area is about 27 miles southwest of Freeport.
This ship has made headlines before. In December 2015, a crew member was killed while performing maintenance on an elevator, causing a bloody scene that horrified passengers.
