A cruiser belonging to Gulfport Police Chief Robert Vincent was stolen in late November after thieves ransacked his wife's car and found a key fob to his department vehicle, according to St. Petersburg police.
Vincent, who lives in St. Petersburg, parked his car in front of his home in the evening on November 22 and discovered it missing the next morning. His wife's car apparently had been left unlocked.
About an hour after officers began their investigation, Vincent's cruiser was located in the area of 6640 Tanglewood Drive NE in St. Petersburg.
The cruiser was not damaged.
Fingerprints found in both cars led to the arrest of two juveniles, ages 15 and 16.
The 16-year-old is charged with Grand Theft of a Motor Vehicle and Auto Burglary. The 15-year-old is charged with Grand Theft of a Motor Vehicle.
