When it comes to playing baseball is Tim Tebow a diamond in the rough?

We could soon find out.

The former Florida Gator plans to pivot from football to baseball, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Tebow plans to hold a workout for Major League Baseball teams later this month, Schefter reported.

He said the information came from Tebow’s agents.

A statement from Creative Artists Agency says, "This may sound like a publicity stunt, but nothing could be further from the truth..... People inside and outside the industry - scouts, executives, players and fans - will be impressed by his talent."

Chad Moeller, a former Major League catcher who has been training Tebow, says he "truly believes Tim has the skills set and potential to achieve his goal of playing in the major leagues."

He also thinks it could happen relatively quickly.
