LEE COUNTY, Fla.-- Stone crab season is almost here, it kicks off on Sunday, October 15.
Here are the rules: you're not allowed to use traps with round entrances.
You can use up to 5 stone crab traps per person. There's also a bag limit of 1 gallon of claws, per person or 2 gallons per boat; whichever is less.
Florida Fish and Wildlife is also asking you to take just 1 claw from each crab.
The season ends on May 15.
