MIAMI, Fla. ---- A pregnant woman was medevaced from a cruise ship, approximately 109 miles southwest of Key West, Friday.
The 36-year-old woman was rescued by Coast Guards from the Carnival Glory cruise ship after the patient went into labor while aboard.
Watchstanders diverted a Coast Guard Air Station MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew who arrived on the scene, hoisted the patient and transported her to local emergency medical services who then took her to Lower Keys Medical Center.
