DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) - A man suspected of fatally shooting a college football player and wounding two other students after a fight at a party in Daytona Beach is being charged with first-degree murder.
The Daytona Beach News-Journal reports (http://bit.ly/212M1YI ) that 23-year-old Lamont Postell Jr. surrendered to police late Saturday and is also being charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder.
Police say Postell fatally shot 23-year-old Don'Kevious Johnson, after a fight at the Indigo Lakes Golf Club, where a group of students had gathered for a party.
Johnson was a student at Bethune-Cookman University and a linebacker on the school's football team.
Also shot was 20-year-old Justine Cunningham, who is in critical condition with head injuries, and 21-year-old Tre Jamal Williams, who is in stable condition.
Postell, who is not a student, is being held without bail.
