APOPKA, Fla. (AP) - Police say a man threatened to kill his neighbor with a machete after an argument over a parking space.
News outlets report Apopka police arrested Luis Maldonado on Friday in connection with the incident.
Sgt. Ed Chittenden says Maldonado had been in a dispute with a neighbor over who should park where at their duplex. Chittenden says Maldonado later approached his neighbor, who was at a carport sweeping, and threatened to kill him.
The neighbor defended himself with a broom. A witness then grabbed Maldonado and pulled him off the neighbor.
Chittenden says Maldonado left, but police later located and arrested him. He is currently facing attempted murder charges.
It's unclear if he has an attorney.
