MARATHON, Fla. — Two people were rescued by a good Samaritan after a small private plane crashed into the waters of Vaca Key.
According to the U.S. Coast Guard, the pilot of the single-engine reported a malfunction at take-off and meant to land in the water so that the plane would not crash in a residential area.
No one was reported injured.
