BELLE GLADE, Fla. - A Belle Glade man is dead after his vehicle left the road and overturned into a canal, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident happened at 3 p.m. on the dirt road off of County Road 827/US27 in Belle Glade.
Officials say 55-year-old Wilson Jean Charles of Belle Glade was traveling northbound on the dirt road when his vehicle plunged into a canal.
Charles was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
