MIAMI, Fla. --- Coast Guards are searching for a crew member that went missing from a cruise ship on Saturday afternoon.
According to the Coast Guard, the crew member went missing from the cruise ship Norwegian Gateway 28 miles northwest of Pinar del Rio, Cuba.
Watchstanders at the Coast Guard 7th District Command Center were notified around 3:20 p.m. by the cruise ship that a 33-year-old Pilipino crew member was seen going overboard.
A Coast Guard Air Station Miami HC-144 Ocean Sentry airplane crew was dispatched to conduct a search of the area.
