CLEARWATER, Fla. --- Four American citizens were rescued after an explosion on a boat near Exuma, Bahamas, Saturday.
The U.S. Coast Guard assisted the Royal Bahamas Police Force in medevacing four citizens to Florida just shortly after 11 a.m. Saturday.
Coast Guard Seventh District watchstanders received a call from the Royal Bahamas Police Force requesting assistance after boaters suffered from various injuries.
An airplane crew carrying two medical personnel from Air Station Clearwater was launched to transport the boaters to the air station where emergency medical services awaited them.
The cause of the incident is under investigation by the Exuma branch of the Royal Bahamas Police Force.
